A loving environment to help troubled young men grow.

It can be tough to say goodbye for several months to a youth you care about, but we hope knowing he’s building the skills to change under the care and guidance of loving, trained house and residential staff provides you comfort. Young men in our Residential Care Program learn essential life skills, from basic academics at Starr Academy to self-control and healthy decision making in therapy sessions.

Where to Start
  • Impact 211 provides the means for people to take the first step toward regaining stability. It is a central access point for people in need. During times of personal crisis or community disaster, the free, confidential helpline and online resource directory make it easy for residents to get connected to information and assistance. In Milwaukee, Waukesha, Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Washington, Dodge, Jefferson and Walworth counties simply dial 2-1-1.
  • Wisconsin Family Ties (WFT) is the only statewide, parent-run organization in Wisconsin working with families that include children with social, emotional or behavioral challenges. We walk beside families to provide emotional support while helping to navigate the complex service and treatment systems with which they are involved.
  • Active Minds is a nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness, education, research and advocacy for students and young adults ages 14 through 25.
  • American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) raises awareness, funds scientific research, and provides resources and aid to those affected by suicide.
  • Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) is an international nonprofit membership organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and co-occurring disorders through education, practice, and research
  • Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) provides hope, help, support, and education to improve the lives of people who have mood disorders.
  • Mental Health America (MHA) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to promoting the overall mental health of all Americans.
  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities.
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is dedicated to building better lives for Americans affected by mental illness. The organization is made up of more than 500 local affiliates who work in local communities to raise awareness and provide support and education.
  • National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) is a nonprofit organization working in the areas of support, awareness, advocacy, referral, education, and prevention. ANAD assists people struggling with eating disorders and also provides resources for families, schools and the eating disorder community.
  • National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders. NEDA serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures, and access to quality care.
  • WISE is a Wisconsin coalition of organizations and individuals promoting inclusion and support for all affected by mental illness by advancing evidence-based practices for stigma reduction efforts. People with lived experience of mental health challenges strategically sharing their story is the current, primary, evidence-based practice and drives the focus of WISE.   • Human Trafficking hotline the National Human Trafficking Hotline toll-free hotline, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-888-373-7888 to speak with a specially trained Anti-Trafficking Hotline Advocate. Support is provided in more than 200 languages. We are here to listen and connect you with the help you need to stay safe.
  • National Domestic Violence hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, the National Domestic Violence Hotline provides essential tools and support to help survivors of domestic violence so they can live their lives free of abuse.
  • National Sexual Assault hotline RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE, online.rainn.org y rainn.org/es) in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
  • Disaster Distress Hotline: The Disaster Distress Helpline, 1-800-985-5990, is a 24/7, 365-day-a-year, national hotline dedicated to providing immediate crisis counseling for people who are experiencing emotional distress related to any natural or human-caused disaster. This toll-free, multilingual, and confidential crisis support service is available to all residents in the United States and its territories.
