Preparing youth for successful community living.

Side by side with staff, young men in Rawhide’s group home learn the prosocial behaviors they’ll need to thrive while living in their own communities. It’s one more way we help them truly transform their lives for lasting happiness.

The caring guidance of house staff

The group home is based off a familyliving environment. Young men live together in the Lodge Group Home, guided by live-in house staff, living unit supervisors and resident youth development specialists.

The group home focuses on independent living skills, personal strengths, and identifying behavioral and emotional goals. It instills in the young men prosocial skill development and personal responsibility.

Part of a family and the community

Youth in the group home experience a safe, loving environment and healthy routine that helps build confidence and enable the healing process. They also practice independent living skills in the New London community by attending local high schools, pursuing employment, and/or practicing prosocial activities in the community.

These experiences—along with the support of youth therapy through our New London counseling center—help youth overcome a troubled past and prepare to use their personal strengths as they launch into young adulthood.

This program is available only for court-referred young men; parents cannot directly place their youth into this setting.
