Rawhide Programs Offered

Rawhide programs offer a variety of services for at-risk teenage boys and their families. In addition to Rawhide’s core programs listed below, there are a number of extra programs that can improve your son’s experience at Rawhide. These Rawhide programs and services are add-ons to the core programs and available at no additional cost. This, along with our family model, professional staff and excellent facilities differentiates Rawhide from other residential care providers.

Private Residential Programs:

As a parent or guardian, you may voluntarily place your son at Rawhide in one of the residential Rawhide programs (About Face or Standard).

  1. About Face Service Corps – Short-Term Residential
About Face is a success driven, intensive, family-centered program for young men who are voluntarily placed by a parent or guardian. 90 or 120 day programs are designed to help students build character, mind, and body while experiencing the satisfaction of giving back through regular community service projects.
  2. Standard Residential Care
Residential program where young men live in a home with Houseparents and Resident Youth Care Workers.

Intensive Family Weekend Program:

If your family is struggling, this intensive three-day program is designed for families in disarray and will give your family the opportunity to gain a renewed vigor and foundation for a successful future.

Youth & Family Counseling Services:

Individual, group, and family outpatient counseling services for children, adolescents, adults and families who are struggling with a variety of mental health issues, relational difficulties, or personal concerns.

HomePlus Alternative Schooling:

If your son needs additional help in school, you may choose to enroll him in HomePlus so he can finish school and get the one-on-one help he needs while still living at home.

Transitional Group Home:

Our group home will provide transitional living and training to high school aged young men and prepare them for community living.

Foster Care (levels 3 & 4):

Our foster care program provides students guidance and support as they learn the wisdom of advanced planning, problem-solving skills, effort and pro-social behaviors.
