Long-Term Standard Residential Care

Rawhide provides a positive, structured environment for court-referred, at-risk youth. The traditional family living model is the core of all of our programs. Units are staffed 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week with live-in Houseparents and supportive Residential Instructors demonstrate a healthy lifestyle and family living through 24-hour-a-day role modeling.

The family environment promotes order, stability, safety, fun, and unconditional love. It also helps young men learn the ability to function within healthy family dynamics with self control and respect for others, and develop productive study and recreational habits. Personal, relational, physical, educational, and spiritual training are integral parts of this program.

Progress is measured through Individual Treatment Plans and both experiential and formalized assessments and testing. Our program services allow a focus on using personal strengths for growth while at the same time addressing areas of weakness. Outcomes will focus on the areas of self control, respect and responsibility.
