Transitional Group Home

Rawhide's Group Home is a transitional home for young men who do not need as much supervision as young men in residential care and are seeking independent living skills, as well as community-based alternatives for work and school.

Objectives

  • Teach independent living skills and apply them in community settings
  • Provide community-based social, spiritual, recreational, educational and employment opportunities
  • Develop a transition/relapse prevention plan
  • Community-based education through New London High School
Upon entry and throughout the program, students will be evaluated for their level of development in the following areas:
  • Moral, ethical and spiritual growth
  • Respect for others
  • Responsibility
  • Self-control and self-discipline

Group Home Support

  • Thorough progress reports are completed every six weeks with ongoing case management
  • Monthly evaluations of supervised community employment
  • Monthly home visits, if appropriate
