Treatment Foster Care (CATCH)

The CATCH (Community Alternative Transition Children's Home) program is only available to court-referred, at-risk youth. CATCH offers your son guidance, instruction and support in taking steps toward becoming a contributing member of his community. CATCH homes provide a strong family atmosphere, which encourages the development of building healthy, life changing relationships and models Christian values in everyday life.

The CATCH program was created by Rawhide to fill the need for having a continuum of care. CATCH provides an opportunity to experience a traditional family atmosphere, a lifestyle that expresses love, guidance and discipline. CATCH reflects Rawhide's open door policy which encourages alumni and their families to return for support throughout their lives.

Today, CATCH has evolved into a program that provides Rawhide youth an opportunity to experience a normal life with a loving family. Treatment foster homes provide a less restrictive environment at about half the cost of residential care. Prior to placement, the option of attending a community school or Starr Academy, Rawhide's private on-campus school, is explored. This decision, based on your son's individual needs, is guided by his treatment team, which consists of his parents/guardians, placing agent, school liaison, social worker, transition coordinator and CATCH parents.
