Meet Our Therapists

Lisa Behnke, MA, LPC

Lisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Masters Degree from Trinity Graduate School. Lisa has worked at Rawhide since 2002. She is passionate about working with youth, married couples, and families with special emphasis on restoring relationships, self-worth, anger management, decision-making, forgiveness, and bringing healing to past hurts.

Lisa has an Equine Assisted-Psychotherapy Certification and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA). She enjoys ministering with her husband who is an Academic Instructor at Rawhide and they are blessed to have one child.

Julie Decker, MS, LPC

Julie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University. She has been employed as a therapist since 1990 and is passionate about assisting children, youth and adults in finding Biblical answers and healing related to stress, trauma and broken relationships. Julie endorses a solid scriptural foundation as a basis for her clinical practice.

Her specialties include recovery from abuse and trauma, PTSD, foster care, adoption, blended families, learning challenges, and accurate diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Julie is delighted to include horses in session at Rawhide to support the growth and healing of children, teens and adults. She is also a Licensed Brain Gym Consultant and utilizes this modality to explore alternatives to psychotropic medication when appropriate.

Julie and her husband, Joe, have been married for 17 years and have four sons, one daughter, one collie, two cats and four horses.

Wes Johnson, MA, LPC, BCPCC

Outpatient Counselor Wes Johnson with SandyWes is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Master’s Degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He specializes in adolescent, family and men’s issues. He also has expertise in the areas of engagement and marriage, sexual addiction, anger management, assertiveness training, and promoting healthy masculinity.

Wes integrates therapeutic counseling and Christian principles in his practice. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and is board certified as a Christian Counselor (BCPCC). Wes and his wife have been married since 1994 and have four children.

Gary Nack, MA, M.Div., LPC

Gary is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's Degree from Lakeland College and the Lutheran Brethren Seminary. He provides child, adolescent, individual, marriage, and family therapy, with specialties in anger management, addictive behaviors, stress management, self-worth issues, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and family relationship dynamics.

Gary has been a teacher, coach, and pastor. These work experiences have provided him with a broad and valuable foundation for coming alongside people in a non-judgmental and caring manner. He is a member of the AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors) and is the father of three adult children, and grandfather to four.
