Rawhide's team of certified Social Workers and Therapists provide ongoing individual, group, family, and marriage counseling for court-referred young men and their families. Our Social Workers and therapists are committed to applying principles of relational restoration.

Rawhide's Social Workers serve as the link between placing agencies and Rawhide and lead the Treatment Team in case load management.

Mark Tegtmeier, LCSW

Mark currently serves Rawhide as the Clinical Supervisor. He holds a Master’s degree in counseling and psychology and is a licensed clinical social worker, professional counselor, and marriage & family therapist.

Mark has nearly 30 years of experience working with adolescents and families. He has been married for 26 years and has five children. He enjoys running, biking, and swimming and is active in his church.

Ken Price

With a strong desire to work with at-risk adolescent males, Ken joined the Rawhide team in 1995. He began his career here as a Master Certified Auto Technician in the Work Experience Program where he worked directly with one or two students at a time. His desire to help more young men drew him and his wife, Leah, to serve as Houseparents for four years. Leah was called home to the Lord in 2004 at age 51.

Today, Ken holds the position of Intake Administrator where his time is spent preparing young men to come to Rawhide. Ken is a gifted musician playing the 5-string banjo and the guitar. He especially enjoys bluegrass gospel music.

Six years ago Lisa began her career at Rawhide as an intern and currently serves as a Therapist and Social Worker. She is a graduate of William Smith College (Geneva, NY) with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She earned her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University (Trinity Graduate School) in Deerfield, IL and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Lisa’s calling is to work with at-risk adolescent boys, and their families, to help them change their lives, to bring healing to past hurts, to make better decisions, to realize their self-worth, to deal with strong emotions in a healthy way, and to bring restoration to relationships.

Lisa loves working alongside her husband (a Rawhide teacher) and enjoys soccer, lacrosse, running, and biking. She sees athletics as a positive way to connect with the boys and provide life lessons for them.

Tara holds a Bachelor’s of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a concentration in children and families. She has been serving Rawhide as a Graduate Social Worker and Therapist since 2001.

Tara is committed to seeing families become closer and stronger, and seeing young men become successful and take pride in their achievements. She enjoys cooking, gardening, attending farmers’ markets, traveling, camping, biking and spending quality time with family and friends.

Teresa began her career at Rawhide in 2000 as a Social Worker in the CATCH (foster care) program. She later transferred to the residential program where she is working today. She earned her Bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and also holds a Master's degree in Counseling from Lakeland College.

Teresa enjoys working with the youth and their families and relates to them well. She especially enjoys teaching them to take responsibility for their choices and teaching them to respect authority and their freedom so that when they have it they won't lose it again.

Dorothy has been employed at Rawhide since 2002. She was hired as a Living Unit Social Worker and is currently the CATCH (foster care) Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and a Master of Social Work, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

Dorothy has a passion to reach those who are hurting, from unwanted life circumstances or experiences, through the love and grace that Christ has shown her in her life. The relationships she builds with foster families, the students, fellow treatment team members and seeing a student gain confidence are what she likes most about her job.

Dorothy spends her free time hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and camping with family and friends.

Shane began working at Rawhide in 2002 as a Resident Instructor and currently serves as a Graduate Social Worker/Therapist. He holds a Masters of Social Work, with a dual emphasis in organizational and clinical social work, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as well as a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Shane has a passion for working with troubled teens and seeing them make positive decisions that begin to transform their lives. He is committed to teaching the leadership skills they will need to become successful leaders at home, work and school.

Shane enjoys laughing, spending time with my wife and friends, mountain biking, road cycling, reading, running, hiking, camping, skiing, snowboarding and mountain climbing.

Wes is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Master’s Degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He specializes in adolescent, family and men’s issues. He also has expertise in the areas of engagement and
marriage, sexual addiction, anger management, assertiveness
training, and promoting healthy masculinity.

Wes integrates therapeutic counseling and Christian
principles in his practice. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and is board certified as a Christian Counselor (BCPCC). Wes and his wife have been married since 1994 and have four children.

Dave joined the Rawhide team in January of 2007 as the Program Outreach Coordinator. Dave and his wife Barb served Rawhide as CATCH Foster Parents for ten years, and in that time period they had the joys and challenges of 25 boys living in their home.

Dave also brings 23 years of ministry work with him to Rawhide. He has served as a pastor, a youth pastor and as director of various organizations throughout Wisconsin. In addition, he has been a volunteer as one of the juvenile Chaplains at the Outagamie County Justice Center for the past 12 years.

In his position at Rawhide, Dave is instrumental in recruiting staff for the living units as well as visiting the counties and other placing agencies to better understand their needs and inform them of all that Rawhide has to offer.

Angelika came to Rawhide in 2007 as the Community Programs Manager. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from St. Norbert College and a Master of Science in clinical psychology from Marquette University.

After working in the mental health field for 25 years, Angelika came to understand the importance of holistic treatment. Rawhide, a faith based community, embodies the spiritual philosophy and professional expertise to heal and restore human lives that equals her own.

As the Community Programs Manager, Angelika ensures the continuation of quality services that promote healing and restoration of troubled youth and their hurting families.

Jennie has been employed at Rawhide since 2006. She is currently serving as a Transition Administrator/Social Worker and has also served as a Graduate Social Worker and Therapist in the About Face program. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work and her Masters of Science in Social Work, with an emphasis in children, youth, and Families, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Prior to Rawhide, Jennie worked as a social worker in a treatment foster care program and a county juvenile delinquency program.

Jennie enjoys working closely with the youth (and their families) while they are at Rawhide, but feels much of the real work is still to come once the youth returns home. She strives to connect youth with services in their home communities so the success they achieved at Rawhide can continue to grow and expand after they leave the ranch.

Jennie enjoys spending her free time with her husband and son.

Chris Pruitt

Chris Pruitt, Youth Homes Manager



Chris came to Rawhide in 2005 to serve as the Youth Homes Manager. Prior to Rawhide he held other positions as a Social Worker in the child welfare divisions of the Rock County Department of Social Services and Columbia County Department of Health and Human Services. As the Youth Homes Manager at Rawhide, Chris sees his primary role as one who equips the living unit staff to be fully functional to care for our residents and to encourage them when the burdens of caring weigh heavy.

Chris attended Southern Illinois University earning a degree in Architectural Technology. After a variety of life experiences, he moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where he became interested in the field of Social Work while working at Eau Claire Academy. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Chris is married to his wife, Christine, and has two children. He enjoys visiting coffee houses, reading spy novels, playing games, spending time with his family and watching football and baseball.

Mike Mastaw, CSW

Mike Mastaw, CSW, Youth Services Training Manager



Mike is currently serving Rawhide in the position of Youth Services Training Manager. Over the past 19 years, he has also served as the Youth Homes Manager, a Social Worker and a Resident Instructor.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation & Park Administration. His desire is to see all direct-care staff members equipped with the skills and attitudes to effectively work with students placed in our care.

Mike, his wife Kathi, and their two children live in Dale. He enjoys cycling, fitness training and playing the drums.

Mike Hermsen

Mike Hermsen, Youth Homes Operations Manager



Mike currently serves as the Youth Homes Operations Manager for Rawhide. It is his job to assist the Youth Homes Managers with scheduling, recruiting, planning activities and staff development. He began volunteering at Rawhide in 1999 and since then has held positions as a Resident Assistant, an Administrative Resident Instructor, and the Youth Homes Assistant Manager.

Mike realizes that many of the guys at Rawhide may not have received the love from their parents that they deserve. That is why he enjoys working here…with staff that truly care, love and make a difference in these young men’s lives.

Mike loves spending time with his wife, Pam, and their four children.
