 | When the court system refers an at risk youth to Rawhide, the county or state referring the boy pays the cost of the program. Donations help offset these costs and help Rawhide offer competitive rates.
If you are a parent considering voluntarily placing your son at Rawhide, you may be eligible to receive financial aid. There are a limited amount of funds available for tuition assistance. To receive financial assistance you must fill out the financial application section of the admission application and submit your federal tax returns for the past year.
If you do not qualify for financial assistance, some other options to consider include: |
- Take out a home equity loan, borrow against your 401(k), or consider using a personal or private lender.
- Check your health insurance policy to see if there is a therapeutic component to treatment included. You may need to call your insurance company for clarification.
- Your local school district may have funds available to help offset your son's stay.
- Look for community scholarships. Many local foundations offer grants and scholarships for at risk youth. Contact your Community Foundation for more information.
