Check the internet by searching for grants and scholarships for your city or simply look in your local phone book. Another resource to find these foundations is your local chamber of commerce to help point you in the right direction.
When reviewing these foundations, you must first determine if your needs meet the objective of the funds available and then you must apply to recieve your award. It may take weeks or months to find out if you have been approved or not. With some diligence and hard work, funding may be readily available for you to achieve your goals.
College Answer
College Answer is a website dedicated to helping you prepare for college. For information on scholarships that are available to you, search the Scholarship Search in the right-hand column of their site. You will need to register on the site and then answer some questions.
You'll then be given a list of scholarships that you're eligible for. Each scholarship will have a link to apply for it.
