Just for Associates |  Rawhide needs your support. If you are an associate at a Wisconsin Walmart and Sam’s Club, you can vote for Rawhide Boys Ranch to receive $100,000 from the Walmart Associate Choice Program for programs assisting at-risk youth and their families.

Youth, 13 to 18 years of age, from throughout 51 counties in Wisconsin reside here 24 hours a day for up to one year. A parent of one of the youth stated, "Greg was in other placements before Rawhide and the difference is night and day. We never honestly thought we would see such a dramatic turnaround. It's almost overwhelming. We feel truly blessed."
Help us provide residential care for young men and outpatient counseling to boys and girls in their community through your vote. Rawhide is a loyal customer of our local Walmart and Sam's Club; each year we purchase over $40,000 in food and supplies to benefit the youth at Rawhide.

Where This Support Would GO |  TUITION ASSISTANCE AND RESIDENTIAL CARE FUND-$70,000
In recent years the problems exhibited by the boys entering Rawhide have become more severe. Annually, we receive over 600 calls from parents seeking help for their at-risk son! Young men come from poorly supervised environments where abuse or neglect has occurred, poor academic progress is ongoing, and their behavior is creating stress in the home. Most boys at Rawhide come from broken homes without a father figure, leaving them feeling abandoned or rejected and as a result they lack proper social and life skills.
Tuition Assistance and Residential Care
will provide:
- 24-hour supervised housing in our 7 residential homes
- Traditional family model: live-in houseparents
- Three healthy meals daily
- Specialized education on grounds at Rawhide's private school, Starr Academy
- Intensive group and individual counseling
- Ever aspect of care for the boys including clothing, recreation and transition support.
Residential Care
Located in the heart of Wisconsin along the scenic Wolf River, Rawhide Boys Ranch is a faith-based, non-profit residential care center dedicated to changing the lives of troubled young men.
The center of life-changing opportunities at Rawhide is the youth homes. Each home is staffed with live-in houseparents. This provides a mother and father figure in a traditional home setting, modeling a loving parent relationship, providing training in social development, interpersonal skills, housekeeping, and personal care.
Tuition Assistance
Supports Rawhide's state-of-the-art high school, Starr Academy. Starr Academy provides a complete educational experience to the young men at Rawhide offering all core subjects, athletics and electives.
The Academy experience includes:
-Math and Reading including Title I individual services
-Low teacher-to-student ratio
-Science, Social Studies, Life Skills, English Classes
-Woodworking
-Art
-Basketball and Track Seasons |

 OUTPATIENT COUNSELING- $30,000
Communities are seeking affordable and cost-effective prevention services to help troubled youth and their families. The needs of youth today are becoming increasingly complex. As a result, Rawhide sees the consequences of inadequate outpatient counseling services which can result in the youth engaging in riskier behavior and making bad decisions.
Rawhide has a long history of providing quality counseling services and we have now taken those services out to communities to equip troubled youth and their families with positive long-term relationships, behavioral skills, and life skills.
Families all over the state of Wisconsin will benefit from our counseling regardless of their financial means. Rawhide offers several options for clients without the resources to pay for counseling through sliding fees for clients with or without health insurance. |
