Wisconsin is one of the most beautiful places in the rural United States, and a great way to experience its natural beauty is to take a tour of the Rawhide Ranch.
We are located just south of New London on over 700 acres of picturesque property. Our Ranch features amazing wildlife, scenic landscape, and the famous Wolf River. You will also be amazed at the welcoming atmosphere and wonderful facilities Rawhide has to offer to the young men in our care.

Louise House
A small home on the ranch that serves as transitional living quarters for houseparents and other staff as needed.
Smith Home
Built with the support of the Kimberly-Clark Foundation, the Smith Home houses young men in the About Face program and staff.
Sheldon Equestrian Center
This indoor riding arena is home to Rawhide's Equine Assisted Program (REAP).
REAP combines horses and therapy to help young men work through a
number of behavioral issues.
Thompson Center
Named in honor of Gary and Kay Thompson, who served Rawhide from
1969-2002, the Thompson Center is home to the social services staff.
The building was funded by Chester L. Krause, Thrivent Frinancial for Lutherans, and Frank C. and S.F. Shattuck.

Hillshire Farm & Kahn's Barn
Built by Rawhide staff and students in 1997, the small animal barn provides housing to horses, Shetland ponies and donkeys.
Pieper Maintenance Shop
Students can work with job trainers as groundskeepers and in buildings and maintenance as part of the work experience Program.
Grounds & Maintenance Outbuilding
Cornerstone Group Home
The Cornerstone provides a
transitional living program for young men transitioning between their
time at Rawhide (or in another facility) and their home.
The Lodge
The Lodge is the original boys home that was on the ranch when the land
was purchased. Currently it plays host to Intensive Family Weekends.
Oasis
A small home on the ranch that serves as living quarters for utility houseparents. Utility houseparents fill in for youth homes staff that are
on vacation or on days off if needed.
Petit Home
This home is occupied by the executive director and his family.
Gillespie Boys Home
This home was built with the support of the Aylward Family Foundation and named in
honor of Rawhide founders John and Jan Gillespie. Gillespie houses young
men in the Starr Academy program.
ABC Boys Home
This home was built with the support of the Associated Builders and Contractors. The ABC Home houses young men in the standard residential program.
Aylward Boys Home
This home was built with the support of the Aylward Family Foundation. The Aylward Home
houses young men in the standard residential program.
Starr Academy
Rawhide's on-grounds school is home to the Keller Education Center,
Krause Fieldhouse, and the Gabrielse Woodworking Shop. Student's
residing at Rawhide attend school Monday-Friday, year round.
Frontier Cafe
Provides food service to Rawhide staff, visitors and general public.
Also the home of the Friday Night Fish Fries. Upper level houses Human Resources and
training facilities.
Snap-on Auto Center
Provides work space for the vehicle donation program as well as
on-the-job training for young men. Students learn how to make minor
mechanical repairs to vehicles and help to maintain Rawhide fleet
vehicles.
WATDA Carriage Boys Home & Visitors Center
The Carriage Home was built with the help of the Wisconsin Auto and Truck Dealers Association (WATDA),
the upper level is a boys home and the lower level provides office
space and a visitor's center.
Pennau Prep Center
This area provides work space for the vehicle donation program as well as valuable
job training for the young men.
Searl Stable

Youth Services Train Station
The newest addition to our facilities, the Youth Services Train Station was opened in January of 2011, and houses the youth services department.
Fine Arts Auditorium
The Fine Arts Auditorium was opened in 2004 and funded by major donations from Jack and Ethel Keller, Thrivent Financial along with individuals.
The auditorium seats up to 282 and is used for chapel services, guest speakers, performances and is available to the general public.
Keller Education Center
Opened in 1998, the Keller Education Center was funded by Jack and Ethel Keller of J. J. Keller and Associates
in Neenah, Wisconsin. This portion of the school contains a library,
computer labs, and eight educational classrooms including a science lab
and art room. Title I math and reading classes are available for
students who are deficient in these areas.
Schrodt Production Center
This area provides work space for the vehicle donation program as well as valuable
job training for the young men.
