The policies stated below are applicable to all Rawhide auction items available at a Rawhide – New London location auction as well as our partnering outside auction venues.

AUCTION HOUSE AUTHORITY

Rawhide reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or limit the quantity of sale items at any time without prior notice for any Rawhide auction. Rawhide reserves the right to restrict individuals or businesses from attending our Rawhide location auctions.

BUYER REGISTRATION

All Dealers and/or business Buyers must possess and show the appropriate business license for desired items as required by the state of Wisconsin upon attending a Rawhide location auction. New attendees to a Rawhide auction should complete the Rawhide Registration Form, Wisconsin Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate, and be able to show documentation that they are a licensed dealer.

PURCHASING

Rawhide currently sells to dealers only at wholesale auctions. Purchases are intended for resale and not for personal use. Retail purchases are not allowed.

OWNERSHIP LIABILITY

Ownership liability transfers to the buyer at the moment the final bid is accepted. Rawhide is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of items once the final bid is accepted.

PAYMENT

All Rawhide Location Purchases Must Be Paid For On Auction Day. All forms of payment must be paid in U.S. currency. Acceptable forms of payment include the following per type of business:

U.S. Businesses: Purchasing business’ check; purchasing business owner’s personal check; U.S. bank cashiers check; first-party travelers checks with proper identification; wire transfer; or U.S. currency.

International Businesses: U.S. bank cashiers check; first-party traveler’s checks with proper identification; wire transfer; or U.S. currency.

Late payments will incur a $50.00 service fee and may jeopardize your buying privileges. Insufficient fund payments (NSF) suspends your buying privileges until paid, may incur criminal charges, must be made by U.S. currency or U.S. bank cashiers check, and will incur a $50 service fee.

AUCTION GUARANTEES

All items are sold AS IS, with no arbitration, unless covered by an auction guarantee. Buyers are responsible to inspect purchases and transportation costs on arbitrated items.

Certified Guarantee
Certified purchases are guaranteed against any major undisclosed defects (repairs of $300 or more) for a period of seven (7) consecutive days including day of purchase. The Certified Guarantee is to the original wholesale buyer, is not transferable, and is void upon resale. Seller retains the right to repair or refund disputed purchases.

Drive Train Guarantee
All vehicles selling for $500 or more are guaranteed against major, undisclosed drive train defects (repairs of $300 or more to the engine, transmission, transfer box, drive axles) for a period of seven (7) consecutive days, including day of purchase. The Drive Train Guarantee is to the original wholesale buyer, is not transferable, and is void upon resale. Seller retains the right to repair or refund disputed purchases

RESERVE PRICED ITEMS

Bids on items with a reserve price must meet or exceed the reserve price determined by Rawhide. Bids for reserve price items are only accepted auction day at the block until checkout is completed. All unsold items will be sold at future auctions.

DELIVERY / TRANSPORTATION

Delivery is available for cars, small trucks, boats on trailers, campers, and travel trailers. Other items are negotiable. Small delivery orders (1-2 items) will be charged a small-load factor. Delivery fees must be paid at the time delivery is ordered. Contact the Rawhide Transportation Manager at ext. 2634 for details.

OFFICE & LOT HOURS

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. The office and lot are closed all weekends and holidays, including the Saturday after an auction.

PICK UP & REMOVAL

The Buyer’s copy of the block ticket is required for the removal of all purchases from the lot. Purchases must be removed within 14 calendar days following a Rawhide location auction unless delivery arrangements are made with Rawhide's Transportation Manager. Purchases not removed in 14 calendar days will be towed and stored by a contractor who will bill the original purchaser directly at a rate of $45 per item, plus $10 per day per item. Items unable to be towed will be disposed of and disposal charges will be billed to the original purchaser.

LOADING ASSISTANCE

Auction day loading assistance may be available after the auction. A fee of $10 is charged per item loaded with our forklift. Manual loading fee is $25 per person, per hour (1/2 hr. minimum charge). Non-auction loading assistance may be available during normal business hours. Contact the Sales Department to schedule loading assistance and for loading fee rates.

TEST DRIVES

Due to Wisconsin DOT regulations and liability concerns, vehicles cannot be test driven on the road until paid for and driven with the Buyer’s license plates.

DEALER CREDITS & PROMOTIONAL COUPONS

Promotional coupons may be redeemed at any auction selling Rawhide inventory and as stated on coupon.

All dealers attending a Rawhide location auction for the first time will receive a $50 credit toward auction purchases made auction day. Any dealership that brings a first-time dealer to the auction will also receive a $50 credit toward their auction purchases made auction day. Credits are nontransferable and expire auction day.

VISITORS

Buyer’s guests, drivers, and other associates can observe Rawhide location auctions but are not allowed to bid on items or be in the bidding lanes. Children less than 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times and, for safety concerns, are not allowed in sale fields or vehicle storage lots.

SMOKE/DRUG-FREE ENVIRONMENT

Smoking, alcohol, and other drug substances are not allowed in Rawhide buildings and/or premises.

PETS

No pets are allowed on Rawhide property.
