Motivation Is The Key |  My name is Brian and I am 16 years old. I have been at Rawhide for three months. My favorite things to do include: basketball, hanging out with friends, and working.
I really enjoy math and history because these subjects are the most interesting to me; plus I have great teachers! I like working with all three of Rawhide’s job trainers and have enjoyed every work project that we have done.
My goals after leaving Rawhide are to return to my public high school and earn good grades, and I would like to join the varsity basketball team again. I want to stay active.
When I graduate from high school, I plan to attend college. I’m not sure what my area of study will be yet, but I want to obtain a bachelor’s degree. I would like to continue to play basketball in college as well. I know that I will need to work while going to college because I would like to have very little student debt when I finish. It’s important for me to finish college because I know that I need the education to obtain a secure job in a career that I enjoy.
I would like to live happily after I leave Rawhide and want to thank my houseparents for their guidance. They are two of the greatest people I know.
