Student of the Month - October 2007 |
Help Through Christ |  My name is Doug and I am 14 years old. I am from Racine County and have been at Rawhide for six months. My favorite things to do include working on cars and playing paintball. I really enjoy English because it comes to me naturally, so I try to apply that ability to my other classes and daily life. One day I would like to go to college to become an electrician.
My success at Rawhide is because of two things: my mom and my relationship with Christ. Throughout my whole experience at Rawhide, my mom has always been there for me. She drives 2˝ hours every time she wants to see me. She has also been encouraging me from day one.
Another help to my success would have to come from my relationship with Christ. I have been a Christian for about four years, and I believe that has helped me greatly with the problems I have faced. My relationship with Him is not the strongest right now, but I plan to start reading the Bible more. I just hope that everyone at Rawhide would come to know the Lord as their own personal Savior.
