Pennau Prep Center and Snap-on Auto Center |
 | | The sale of donated cars, trucks, boats, campers, RVs and other vehicles provide a critical source of funding to Rawhide. Vehicle donations also provide valuable work experience to the young men on the Ranch. |
|
Pennau Prep Center | The Pennau Prep Center opened in 1993 and was funded by Dick and Audrey Pennau, former owners of Oshkosh Pepsi Bottling Company. The facility provides four large bays where vehicles are fully evaluated, detailed and prepared for auctions.
Young men receive training in auto detailing and evaluation of items including checking and replacing batteries, checking fluid levels, and replacing spark plugs.

Here, Certified Auto Mechanics instruct the students in common auto repairs and maintenance, as part of the Work Experience Program, on Rawhide's own fleet vehicles. Together the trainer and student work to troubleshoot and solve everyday repairs while learning other lifelong lessons.
