A Story of Hope, Love, and Family Renewal |
The holidays are a time of peace, hope, love, and family togetherness. Something that, eight years ago, Rawhide alumnus Bee Vang didn't think was possible. Born in a refugee camp in Thailand, Bee moved to the United States when he was an infant. Shortly after arriving in the US, Bee's father abandoned him and the rest of his family. In turn, his mother became the sole provider. Growing up, Bee turned to drugs, alcohol, gangs, and violence to fill the voids in his life - behavior that soon got him into trouble. Bee's behavior problems started out small but quickly escalated until he was arrested and placed in a juvenile detention center. After numerous stays in juvenile detention Bee came to Rawhide in 2000 where he finally found the family he craved and began to turn his life around. Recently, WHBY News Radio in Appleton, Wisconsin, conducted a 5-part radio interview with Bee. To hear the interview and learn more about Bee and where he is today visit the links below. Once you hear Bee's interview and the story of his life-changing journey you will understand just how much of a difference your support makes in changing desperate lives. There are many other young men, like Bee, who are headed down the wrong path and are in need of Rawhide to change their lives. Please consider a tax-deductible gift to Rawhide this holiday season and help change a life! |
