Bart Starr Accepts $25,000 Donation from UnitedHealthcare |
April 1, 2007 | Bart and Cherry Starr accepted a $25,000 gift on behalf of Rawhide Boys Ranch from Secure Horizons, a division of UnitedHealthcare. The Starrs are the national spokespersons for Secure Horizons (a senior market insurance program). Over the course of their association with Secure Horizon, the Starrs communicated their passion for helping troubled young men through Rawhide. They inspired Secure Horizons to partner with Rawhide by providing much-needed financial assistance.
The check was presented at Lambeau Field in Green Bay at a meeting hosted by UnitedHealthcare for independent insurance agents. Ken Fasola, CEO of Secure Horizons, presented Bart and Cherry with the check. John and Jan Gillespie, co-founders of Rawhide Boys Ranch, were also present. The donation will benefit the Bret Starr Memorial Fund, which supports a lifetime commitment to Rawhide alumni.
