Schneider National Delivers Two Semi Trucks to Rawhide

April 1, 2007

Two Semi tractors donated by Schneider National.Rawhide Boys Ranch recently approached Schneider National with a need to replace two semi tractors that had accumulated over 700,000 miles each due to transporting vehicle donations. After learning of the need, Schneider National donated two 2003 Freightliners being retired from their fleet that could amply fulfill Rawhide’s need. John Solberg, Executive Director at Rawhide, remarked, “These semis will help us continue to generate revenue to support the care of the at-risk young men who come to Rawhide. We are extremely grateful for this generous gift from Schneider National.”

Vehicle haulers provide an important function at Rawhide by picking up donated cars, trucks, boats, and many other items from Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. The donations provide valuable job training opportunities for youth and, after the donated vehicles are sold, operating income to support the programs.
