Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation Contributes $34,500 Gift to Rawhide

October 9, 2006

The Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation announced a grant of $34,500 to create a database for youth records at Rawhide Boys Ranch. John Wollner, Community Relations Director for Thrivent Financial’s Appleton office, visited the students at Rawhide on Friday, October 13, and presented John Solberg, Rawhide’s Executive Director, with the gift. “The Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation is proud to support Rawhide Boys Ranch because it provides a positive environment and experience for at-risk and delinquent young men,” stated John Wollner.

The youth records project will provide for more secure storage of information to protect client privacy, accurately store and document services to placement agencies and Medicaid regulators, retrieve important outcome data that represents youth success rates, and create greater efficiencies. “Better outcome data will allow us to enhance Rawhide’s programs to achieve the objectives and effectively communicate with supporters the impact Rawhide is achieving with delinquent and at-risk youth,” stated John Solberg. He added, “The Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation recognized that every youth who experiences sustained positive behavior change is a benefit to our local communities.”
