Aylward Boys Home

Wisconsin Boys Home – Aylward House

Opened:  1997
Capacity:  10 boys plus staff
Donated by:  Aylward Family Foundation

The Aylward Home was named in memory of Bill Aylward. Bill and his wife, Louise, spearheaded the first fund drive in the Fox Valley to help raise money to secure a mortgage. The mortgage was for the original Rawhide home, now called The Lodge, and surrounding property.

This Wisconsin boys home, funded by Louise Aylward and her sons, Bill, Dick, and Andy, opened in 1997 and houses up to ten boys ages 14-17 and staff. The boys in this home are a part of Rawhide’s Standard Residential Program and attend school at Starr Academy.
